Shortly before the Christmas vacations, some of our students had another culinary experience. Under guidance, they prepared Chinese dumplings (饺子 Jiǎozi) together and enjoyed being together.
Dumplings are a classic in Chinese cuisine. The small dumplings come with a wide variety of fillings and in different shapes: filled with meat, seafood or vegetarian, as a smooth crescent, with folds or shaped as small pillows.
The popular Chinese Dumplings Jiǎozi are a good family meal, traditionally prepared together on the Lunar New Year and eaten with a dip of soy sauce, rice vinegar and minced garlic.
Be sure to try this delicious dish for yourself and conjure up a piece of the Far East on your plate.
