As part of our GPB tradition, a group of pupils went to Lienz, Austria, for a week's skiing holiday. For the students, arriving and departing together in a comfortable coach, 18th to 24thFebruary was already time to strengthen the sense of community and recharge their batteries for the coming weeks and months at college.
In the winter snow-covered ski area on the Zettersfeld, everyone could prove their skills on skis or snowboard. For the beginners among us it was necessary to learn the right technique with the ski or snowboard instructor first, in order to be able to master the various slopes safely. All the others were able to explore the Zettersfeld with its various descents under the guidance of experienced supervisors right from the start. Even if the sun did not always mean well by us, fun on the slopes was guaranteed and of course, in the chalets during the well-deserved breaks. In the end, everyone, beginners and advanced alike, were able to conquer the mountains without any major problems.
We were accommodated in the hotel "Sonne", where we were well cared for and above all well and abundantly fed. After this week everyone agreed, whether attending for the first time or not, this week was an all-round successful change from college life. Now we are rushing with new energy to the upcoming tasks, such as the upcoming intermediate or final examinations. And those who are still at the beginning of their training will definitely be back next year.
