A training programme in foreign languages in Berlin

If: "The main thing is something to do with languages!"

is your answer when asked what you would like to do later on, then you probably also know that foreign language professions are definitely careers of the future considering advanced globalisation. Companies are increasingly operating internationally and this requires their employees to be able to communicate with business partners all over the world.

Besides, foreign language professions are not sector-specific meaning you can work in diverse areas such as administration, industry, banking, tourism, service or educational institutions.

Training course content and languages

With your passion for languages and at least an intermediate school leaving certificate (MSA), you already fulfil the basic requirements for starting a training course with us.

English will be the first foreign language you learn, as it is a must in today's working world. In addition to European foreign languages such as French or Spanish, you can also choose Asian languages such as Japanese, Korean and Chinese. These make up about 50% of the subjects taught.

In addition to foreign language instruction with excursions into the respective culture, the following are also part of the course content: written business correspondence, oral professional communication, translating and interpreting, business knowledge, secretarial practice, IT, word processing, economic policy and professional communication. At the end of your full-time school programme, you will have to take a state examination.

School-based training with a Bachelor's degree

Our diverse training programmes with a focus on foreign languages are the perfect alternative to studying at a college or university because they are foreign language training programmes which are practice-oriented, last a maximum of two years and include an internship.

After successfully graduating as a foreign language correspondent, you not only have a professional qualification, but also the title of "Bachelor Professional in Business". This title qualifies you for management positions in business and administration.

Our teachers are all academically and pedagogically trained and we employ native speakers for our foreign language classes.

Academic structure

Our foreign language training programmes systematically build on each other and are linked to different conditions:

With a secondary school leaving certificate (MSA) and a good knowledge of German, you can start your training as a foreign language business assistant.

If you already have the ‘Abitur’ or the ‘Fachhochschulreife’ and a good command of English, you can start with the training to become a foreign language correspondent straight away.

Afterwards, you can continue to build your competence with the advanced training to become a European correspondent and broaden and enhance your language qualifications.
