Foreign language correspondent
With professional language skills as well as business and information technology knowledge, your future profession as a foreign language correspondent will take you to an international level. With an apprenticeship as a foreign language correspondent, you will not only learn the necessary language skills, but also business and information technology know-how.
Training procedure
The training takes only two years because you already have a good educational background with your school-leaving certificate or previous studies.
During the school-based training programme at GPB College, you will acquire the knowledge required for your profession in regional studies, the (legal) basics of economics, organisation, word processing and other office soft skills as well as correspondence.
A large part of the curriculum is, of course, language classes, where general language basics, conversation, correspondence, presentation and translation are taught.
English is the first foreign language that is studied in depth. For the second foreign language, you have the choice between French or Spanish. Depending on your choice of second foreign language, you can then choose between Chinese, Japanese or Korean as your third foreign language.
Practical experience complements theory, which is why you complete a four-week internship. The internship can take place in Germany, but also abroad. You complete your training programme after the 4th semester with state exams in English, the 2nd foreign language and economics.
The best at the end: after you successfully complete your studies, you are not only a state-certified foreign language correspondent, but also bear the title Bachelor Professional in Economics.
