What do IT system management specialists do?
IT system management clerks are experts in marketing IT services. They are highly experienced in technical matters and, in addition to technical support, take on assistant tasks in the area of the latest IT systems.
What concrete activities are involved?
- You inform and advise customers and users on all questions concerning IT products and IT services.
- You develop new concepts for sensible IT solutions.
- From the offer to the cost calculations to the contracts, everything goes through your desk.
- You buy hardware and software, take care of IT security and data protection and support your customers in the process of providing their new IT systems.
- You also carry out product analyses and know how advertising and marketing work.
- To make sure you're always up to date, you regularly check new developments in the IT market, and
- You get to play and try out new gadgets! Because in order to help users, you have to know best how it works.
How does the IT training work?
Training as an IT systems management assistant lasts three years and includes a 10-month internship. The course is completed with an extended final examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The full-time school-based training programme takes place as a module system, which means that you work on a job-related topic four days a week. The fifth day is the so-called "school day", on which you have the basic subjects such as German, Mathematics and English.
Within the course, we offer the opportunity to obtain various manufacturer certificates. In addition, you even have the option of obtaining the advanced technical college entrance qualification within one year of completing the course.
